My very good friend Kelsey got married to a very wonderful match, Frank, last weekend, April 25, 2009. It was a beautiful ceremony at Palmor Vineyards on Long Island and was followed by a very fun, very east coast, reception at The Watermill. It was so fun, I’m so happy to see Kelsey happy and moving on to the next stage of her life. My brother was in attendance as well as mine & Kelsey’s good friend Jake from Durango. Here are some of my favorite pics!

This morning Apollo asked me “Bucky… meowwww…” I said “yes Apollo” ”Meowwww Meowww.. Where’s Janette….Meowww” I told him that you were house sitting for his friend Sammy. He said “Meowww what a nice thing to do Meooowww. When meowww is she going to come back? Meowww” I said well, she might be coming by tonight for a BBQ with Tara and Liz and Vinny” He got really excited. Said “Meowww I really hope so… cause I miss her Meowww”
And then… all the kitties said “Meowww meoww.. we all miss her!”
And then Apollo said “Meow Thank you for giving me my medicine today bucky Meoww!” I said “I’m glad to do it Mr. Apollo, I hope it makes you feel much better” And then.. I gave them treats.. and then they thanked me.
Sometimes you have friends that come into your life for a short period of time, but make a life long impression on you. Montana was one of those people for me. Montana and I met working at the movie theater. She was younger than me, and from a very Mormon family. When we met she was herself a practicing Mormon…though she knew there was more to life, more to being, than what the religion taught. We became fast friends, it was an instant bond. We laughed endlessly and had a ridiculous good time together.
Montana was anxious to get out of her house, so she moved in with Kelsey and I. Kelsey was to be moving out in a couple of months…heading off to live in NYC, so I was in need of a roommate anyhow. Montana totally fit the bill. She gradually moved away from her Mormonism to realize that there was so much more to her than that. Over the course of just about two years…we were inseparable.
Coming from the background she had, Montana taught me a lot about myself. In discussing life, love, and the prospects of the earth…she really helped me to realize what my own beliefs were. She influenced me greatly in how I live my life today, how I came into my own. By the time I left Durango to move to NYC myself, Montana and I were growing apart. We had been friends in transition from one part of our lives to another. We are both completely different individuals now than we were when we met…but we made that journey together, and I will never forget her and the times we had. The following pictures are just a tiny glimpse into some of our adventures together. Love you forever Montana!!

well, another year has come and gone! amazing, i’m not quite sure where the time goes, but all we can do is make the best of it. i’ve had a lovely holiday season this year, though i missed my family. none of us were able to travel this year. its hard, some are in california, some in colorado, and me and my brother are here in new york. but, we made the best of it. barely having to work over a two week time span was super, i relaxed, i painted, i read, i cleaned, i went to KittyKind a lot, and i hung out with wonderful friends. here are some super pics of the last two weeks of 2008.

Hello all! As many of you know, my amazing mother JoAnn has her own company, Colorado Comfort. A while ago she created a burlap coat for a contest in CO. One man liked them so much that he commissioned her to create some items for his coffee company and she has done just that! Check out her new items!!

Have you ever received a package from somewhere and when you open it an enchanting smell emerges bringing you back to a person, place, or time? That happens to me every single time I get something from my Grandma, Janet. My Grandma is one of the coolest people in my life. She is absolutley adorable and a wonderful human at that. She has been the only grandparent in my life for a very long time. Both of my fathers parents died before I was born and my Grandpa on my mom’s side died when I was a kid. So Grandma has been it…and more than I could ever ask for. She lives in La Jolla, CA…and has lived there since she was a kid. An amazing gardner and crafter she has had a huge impact on the hobbies and talents of her three daughters and her two grandkids, my brother and me. Some things that have been in my life since I can remember was handcrafter by her, my mom, and my two aunts. She is amazing. I wanted to share some of my favorite pics of her, her house, and her crafts. Love you Grandma.
My mother. I love her to death. I gave her hell when I was young and somehow, someway, she turned me into who I am today. I happen to really like who I am and what I am about and she played a vital role in that. Thank you mama…for dealing with me and being my best friend.
For those of you who don’t know…my mother is extremely talented. She has her own business, Colorado Comfort (please see side bar!!) and in addition, she is the Costume Designer for the Durango High School Theater, one of the best theaters in Colorado. She is so talented and in such high demand for projects that she often has to turn things down… ahh the life
Kitty Kitty Boom Boom, a newer shop in Durango, CO, recently held a contest, The Coffee Bag Couture Contest. The objective was to take real coffee bags and make them into something you’d see on the runway. My fantaboulus mother made the coolest jacket!! Way to go mama!!
